Gold Systems Inc. announced today that it is part of the CGI Federal team that was recently selected by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide support for the Central Data Exchange (CDX) used as part of the agency's National Environmental Information Exchange Network. Gold Systems will play an important role in the continued development of the network. CGI Federal Inc. is a wholly-owned U.S. operating subsidiary of CGI Group Inc., (NYSE: GIB; TSX: GIB.A).
EPA's CDX allows states and regulated industries to submit and retrieve critical environmental data via the Internet. Gold Systems will support CGI Federal's initiative to develop automated quality checks, standard file formats, and a standard protocol for efficient data exchange. Improved data exchange allows for enhanced decision making and better overall environmental protection.
"Gold Systems is excited to be selected as a partner in the CDX development project and pleased to support CGI Federal and EPA environmental protection initiatives,” said Dave Wilcox , President of Gold Systems. “More than 20 years experience providing federal, state, and tribal programs with software designed to improve the collection and transmission of environmental data uniquely positions us to successfully support CGI Federal and the Obama administration's environmental regulatory initiatives.”
